Advertising Payment Policy

Simple | Fair | Transparent

All advertising budgets are quoted and paid in US Dollars (USD). This policy explains why we use US Dollars for advertising, how payments in Naira or Ghana Cedis work, and what you need to know as a client.

1 WHY WE USE US DOLLARS (USD)

Major advertising platforms such as Google and YouTube use US Dollars (USD) or other foreign currencies for billing. The cost of advertising is affected by:

  • Exchange rate fluctuations
  • Platform billing requirements
  • International payment processing
  • Bank and payment provider conversion rates
  • Changes in the value of local currencies
  • Foreign currency transaction charges

Quoting directly in local currency can result in a difference between the amount paid and the actual advertising funds available on the platform. Using USD ensures that your full advertising budget is available and delivers the expected results.

2 PAYMENT IN NAIRA OR GHANA CEDIS

Clients can pay in Nigerian Naira (₦) or Ghanaian Cedis (₵). However, the payment must represent the USD value of the approved advertising budget at the applicable exchange rate at the time of payment.

EXAMPLE (NAIRA)

If your advertising budget is $100 and the exchange rate is $1 = ₦1,500
You will pay: ₦150,000

EXAMPLE (GHANA CEDIS)

If your advertising budget is $100 and the exchange rate is $1 = ₵15
You will pay: ₵1,500

If the exchange rate changes before payment, the local currency equivalent may also change.

3 EXCHANGE RATE POLICY

Exchange rates can change frequently. We reserve the right to recalculate the local-currency equivalent immediately before payment. The applicable rate may be based on the rate from:

  • The payment provider
  • Your bank
  • A foreign exchange provider
  • Or another legitimate source used to purchase the advertising currency

This ensures that the agreed advertising budget is not reduced by currency fluctuations.

4 ADVERTISING BUDGET vs. MANAGEMENT FEE

There are two separate charges:

1. ADVERTISING BUDGET

The money allocated to Google, YouTube or another advertising platform to run your campaign.

2. MANAGEMENT / PROFESSIONAL FEE

The fee charged by DISTINCT CONSULTANCY LIMITED for strategy, setup, management, optimization, reporting, creative services and ongoing support.

These charges will be clearly stated separately in your quotation or invoice.

5 CURRENCY SHORTFALL

If a client pays a fixed amount in Naira or Ghana Cedis and the currency converts to less than the agreed USD advertising budget due to exchange rate changes or transaction costs, the client will be required to pay the difference before the campaign is fully funded.

This policy protects both the client and DISTINCT CONSULTANCY LIMITED by ensuring that the agreed advertising budget reaches the advertising platform as intended.

6 TRANSPARENCY COMMITMENT

Our objective is not to make additional charges from currency conversion. The purpose of this policy is to ensure that your advertising budget is accurately converted into the required foreign currency and fully available on the advertising platform.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO CLEAR PRICING, HONEST COMMUNICATION AND DELIVERING REAL RESULTS.

7 CLIENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT

By making payment for an advertising campaign, the client acknowledges that:

  • Advertising budgets are quoted in USD unless otherwise stated.
  • Local currency payments are converted to their USD equivalent.
  • Exchange rates may fluctuate.
  • The local currency amount required may change.
  • Any applicable payment provider or currency conversion charges may affect the final amount available for advertising.
  • The advertising budget and our professional fee are separate charges (where applicable).
